Grab Driver
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Grab Driver to support our operations. Working within a team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of materials to and from site. You will play a key part in ensuring projects run smoothly by supporting site teams with timely deliveries and collections.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating a grab lorry for the collection and delivery of aggregates, asphalt and waste materials
- Loading and unloading materials using the grab arm
- Supporting road surfacing gangs with site deliveries
- Adhere to EU drivers’ hours and Working Time Directive, ensuring the correct and appropriate breaks are taken
- Carrying out daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Completing delivery tickets and relevant paperwork accurately
- Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and transport regulations
Requirements:
- HGV Class 2 (Cat C) license
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- CSCS Card
- Proven experience operating a grab lorry (essential)
- Experience within road surfacing or construction (preferred)
- Good knowledge of local road networks
- Strong work ethic and reliability
