Highways Maintenance and Improvements
DJT Surfacing has delivered highways maintenance and improvement contracts within Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire as either Main Contractor or key Supply Chain Partner. Our teams deliver works as a cluster of multiple schemes or individual schemes within agreed programmes. Our works included carriageway and footway patching and highways civil engineering improvements. We also carry out Section 278 works for adoptable schemes; in accordance with Local Authority standards and specifications.
Hard Landscaping and Paving
We have completed footway repaving schemes in Bedfordshire in accordance with the Specification for Highway Works, using standard precast concrete flags. This also included constructing footways around trees using asphalt materials to maintain drainage. Our teams have also undertaken high quality public realm works within Rushmere Park to a bespoke architectural design including steps, resin bound paving and establishment of planting borders
Kerbing and Drainage
We have undertaken drainage and kerbing repair schemes on Local Authority, Parish Council and private assets. This includes improvement schemes for Central Bedfordshire Council / Bedford Borough Council; and improvement schemes with live cemeteries. All our works are planned and coordinated to comply with roadspace permit schemes; and ensure pedestrians, cyclists and other road users are safely accommodated during the works.
