Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council Highways Minor Works Top Up Contract

DJT Surfacing are pleased to have been appointed on to the Highways Minor Works Top Up 2019 Contract; which has been jointly procured by Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council.

We have secured positions on all four Lots; which will see DJT Surfacing deliver Task Orders issued by both Councils for minor highway improvements on both a day-work basis and planned programme of works. Our teams will work collaboratively with Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council to replicate the high standards of safety, quality and sustainability already provided by their in-house highways teams; whilst finding opportunities to continuously improve how the service is delivered. We will also support both Councils in meeting the Social Value commitments under the Public Services Act; that will bring social, economic and environmental benefits to the businesses and communities DJT Surfacing will be working within.

All four Lots under the Contract will operate for an initial two-year duration, commencing in October 2019; and the Councils will have the option to extend any of the Lots by up a further two years; depending on the performance of the appointed Contractors.

Jo Salmon, Group Services Director of DJT Surfacing, commenting on award of this Contract said “We are pleased to have been appointed on to the Highways Minor Works Top Up 2019 Contract; and we will support Leicestershire County Council and Leicester City Council to carry-out our Task Orders in the safest and most considerate way. This Contract award builds on DJT Surfacing’s experience of delivering similar services to both Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council.”
